NAZI-SOVIET RELATIONS, 1939-1941
DOCUMENTS

This is a selection of notes referring in whole or in part to the issue of Poland, exchanged between the German Foreign Office and the German Embassy in Moscow; and diplomatic notes and documents on the same theme, exchanged between Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia from April 17, 1939 to June 22, 1941.
Added are some notes exchanged between the same parties, concerning other countries of Central Europe, illustrating Nazi-Soviet close cooperation and mutual understanding in their well orchestrated, joint effort to conquer that part of Europe.
The notes were captured by the American Army with the archives of the German Foreign Office, following the collapse of the III Reich.
When the amicable relations between the United States and the Soviet Union soured and former friends became mortal enemies, the documents were translated into English and published [Nazi-Soviet Relations, 1939-1941 - Washington, 1948] by the US Department of State
... for the enlightenment of world opinion ...
